Zetech University students joined peers from other leading institutions at the Windsor Hotel in Nairobi for the University Students Mentorship Programme dubbed "Re-Imagining Innovation Within a University Innovation System." The event brought together brilliant minds from Zetech University, among others. The key objective was to equip students with practical innovation skills to address both societal and global challenges. The 39 students representing Zetech University stood out through their active engagement, contributing thoughtful ideas and reflections during sessions focused on design thinking, entrepreneurship, and business development.
The two-day programme featured inspiring sessions led by top innovators including Maryanne G., CEO of AgriTech Analytics Ltd., Dr. Tonny K. Omwansa, PhD, CEO of the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA), and Samuel Njuguna, Chumz Founder/CEO. Students explored the innovation ecosystem, how to apply diverse design thinking approaches to real-world problems, and gained valuable insights into legal frameworks and startup sustainability.
