Evidence Based Strategies for Policy and Practice Towards Promoting Adoption of Artificial Intelligence to Transform University Education in Kenya
The research seeks to critically analyze perspectives of students, lecturers and other relevant stakeholders on use of AI on teaching, learning and research, and explore ways these digital technologies could be harnessed to transform university education in Kenya. The research specifically seeks to understand how students and faculty of different disciplines use A.I, how they perceive its potential and impact, including gaining insights of how key stakeholders think such tools could transform the future of higher education in the country. Guided by the findings the study seeks to suggest guidelines/frameworks that guide in promotion and integration of AI in university education. Literature points out that absence of coherent academic policies/procedures and frameworks exacerbate the problem of A.I development and implementation in higher education in Kenya.
