Zetech University has received Platinum Certification in Good Financial Grant Practice (GFGP) from the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), making it the first university in Kenya and the second in Africa to attain this prestigious recognition.
The certification, assessed by the African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC), acknowledges outstanding performance in financial controls, procurement, risk management, and governance.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Njenga Munene stated that this award validates the university’s robust systems for managing research funding and its preparedness for international collaborations.
Dr. Catherine Kyobutungi, Executive Director of APHRC, commended Zetech’s improved capability to manage international research grants, while Chancellor Prof. Susan Alfano Nkinyangi highlighted the significance of applied research and collaboration with industry.
